COMMUNITY PROJECTS

In everything we do - from the food we serve to the way Mayoka Village is built - we aim to support the local community at a grassroots level.

Our chalets, woodwork, artwork, and handcrafted details are all created by local artisans, and we do our best to source ingredients from local farmers and markets. We also provide financial support to local schools and community projects.

sustainability and environmental protection

At Mayoka, we are continuously working towards becoming more environmentally friendly. We use solar water heaters and solar lighting in our rooms, and we operate a biogas system that converts kitchen waste into energy.

We use compost toilets as part of our waste management system.

All remaining waste is collected by the local organisation Go Green.

As part of our environmental efforts, we also plant trees within the local community.
