The center of all communal activity at Mayoka Village is our bar and restaurant area. Open and shady, it provides a cool place to relax on the big comfy sofa during the day and a lively place to have a few drinks, chat to other travelers and play pool in the evening.

The communal area provides a focus for socializing, have a chat with our friendly staff, play some games with friends or get the latest information from the travelers grapevine! We like to encourage local talent and support cultural activities, so you will find local musicians and bands performing in the evenings at least twice a week and on the last Friday of every month we have a special event to support a Malawian cultural activity such as a local school drama group or a traditional dancing display.
We cook all the food for our restaurant from fresh ingredients for each individual order, we are very proud of the quality of our food. We source all our fresh fruit and vegetables from local small scale farmers and grow all our own herbs in the Mayoka gardens. We have an extensive and exciting menu with dishes from all over the world and on any given day you will find great lunch specials and evening meals which make the most of the seasonal produce.
